Burr trail/waterpocket fold tour

Burr Trail/Waterpocket Fold: Full Day
5-6 hours

Let us drive you down the colorful backroads of Capitol Reef along the Waterpocket Fold, the 100-mile-long geologic feature that defines Capitol Reef National Park. We’ll drive our 4X4 vehicle up the steep switchback road that climbs to the top of the reef, there we’ll take a rough and rocky wash to a short hike with stunning views of the Strike Valley while standing atop the Waterpocket Fold. We’ll have a delicious lunch then continue along the Burr Trail through sandstone canyons, stopping along the way to see incredible natural formations and continue to Boulder Town then up over Boulder Mountain along Scenic By-Way 12 through forests and incredible views of Capitol Reef and the Henry Mountains then back to Torrey. This trip is a “must do” for so many adventurers!
